As we talked about last time, John chapter 5 opens the world of faith to us. When Jesus was at the pool of Bethesda, there were many sick people there. These people can be divided into two types. There are those who could do something and those who could not do anything. Other than the man with the infirmity for 38 years who had been all alone and abandoned, the sick people were those who thought they could do something. “When the angel troubles the water, I can be the first one to enter in! Then my sickness will be healed!”
