[New York] Brooklyn Local Ministers – Pastoral Meeting with Pastor Ock Soo Park

Pastoral Meeting with Pastor Ock Soo Park April, 12th, 2011

On the rainy Tuesday afternoon we had special guests over at the seminar venue; who were local Brooklyn minister who attended the Pastoral Meeting. The Pastoral meeting was held to recruit ministers to part take in the work of the gospel which will arise in America with us.

The Pastoral Meeting began when the invited 27 local ministers arrived and with the soft music of the Gracias Orchestra. The attendants received the book “The Secret of Forgiveness of Sin and Being Born Again” by Pastor Ock Soo Park and a pamphlet about our mission and they interested to learn about the spiritual life of Pastor Ock Soo Park through this meeting.

After the introduction of the mission and the IYF (International Youth Fellowship), promotion of the New York World Camp which will be held in August and a presentation about the Mahanaim Theology School was delivered to the attendants. Pastor Joseph Park who delivered the presentation said that many people attend church but they are still suffering from the problems of their sins and that he hopes that through the works of the gospel the citizens of New York receive true peace in their hearts.

The ministers were amazed to hear about the Bible Crusade in each country, Youth NGOs, medical volunteer and all other various challenging activities. Also, they were appreciated and listened to the beautiful performance by soprano Haemi Choi, Jinyoung Park and tenor Taejik Woo with their eyes lightly closed.

Pastor Ock Soo Park gave a welcome message. Pastor Park expressed his sadness to see how America was establish by the gospel and has now been secularized and he encouraged who are working hard and are spiritual leaders to the Brooklyn citizens during this harsh times. Furthermore, as he preached about the story of Moses and Abraham who had a different heart from God when they united their hearts with God they were able to become people of faith, he said that when we throw away our thoughts and united our hearts with God our lives change and we can strongly do the works of the gospel. We were able to feel the strong works of God through our mission from the message of Pastor Ock Soo Park. Pastor Ock Soo Park said to the local ministers of Brooklyn to keep a good relationship, cover the USA with the gospel together and awaken the spirit of God in the hearts of the citizens of the USA.

The ministers who attended the Pastoral Meeting praised the God who is working in our mission and they expressed the interest to want to work together and after taking a group photo they had individual fellowship with Pastor Ock Soo Park. This Pastoral Meeting will be the starting point for the citizens of Brooklyn to unite their hearts with God and the corner stone of the will of God to establish 500 churches in the USA. A Spanish Pastoral Meeting will be held on Wednesday at 1:30PM.
