[Kenya] “I hope that happiness, joy, and delight will be delivered to you in God!”

Korea is in its hottest summer, but in Kenya, it is winter. Although it is not as cold as winter in Korea, Nairobi in Kenya is high in elevation and cold enough to need a coat or jumper in the morning and evening.

However, more than 4,000 people from all over the country have had a beautiful and peaceful time together with the words at the 2017 Peace Camp despite the chilliness.

Kenya has a painful memory of violence in every presidential election. The ‘2017 Kenyan Peace Camp’, held before the upcoming presidential election on August 8, will be held with the aspiration for peace in Kenya.

On August 1st, during the Kenya Peace Camp, the main speaker, Pastor Ock Soo Park, arrived at the Moi Stadium after the camp in Uganda and was welcomed by the participants.

In spite of his busy schedule, the Ark Bishop Pastor Kitonga, who represents Kenya, welcomed Pastor Ock Soo Park to Kenya with a warm embrace.

Ark Bishop Kithonga was delighted to hear the choir music, then canceled his later schedule and listened to Pastor Ock Soo Park.

This Kenya Peace Camp was helped by God in many ways.

“Before the World Camp, God gave me the heart that he was pleased in this camp. So far, I have only been promoting to students at universities. But when I went to university presidents and youth organizations and informed them about the World Camp, they sent us many people. In particular, the Youth Corps sent a thousand students. I thought it was not good time for a camp because of the presidential election period, but due to this, the vacation started early and many students were able to attend. The government also helped me solve the problems of renting the stadium and visa, and MoSound that was open-hearted to IYF provided support for the stage and broadcasting equipment free of charge. God has graciously led the Kenya Peace World Camp as His Words. “(Missionary Kim Yoon Han, Kenya)

At the Christian Leaders ‘Meeting (CLF) held in the afternoon, 600 people filled the basketball court and listened to Pastor Ock Soo Park’s message.

Pastor Ock Soo Park spoke on the podium speaking about the man with infirmity for 38 years, “Take your seat and walk.” He explained, “If we abandon all our ways and listen and follow the words of Jesus, the power of Jesus will lead us.”

“1 Corinthians 6:10-11 says, ‘And such were some of you [sinners]: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.’ God sanctified us. When we believe these words, God will work within you.” (Pastor Ock Soo Park)

The Christian pastors lifted their hands and shouted ‘Amen !!’ and ‘Hallelujah !!’, and they were really happy and joyful.

When the Gracias Choir sang ‘Malaika,’ the participants were singing along loudly and became one with the choir.

On this day Pastor Ock Soo Park delivered a message with the introduction of ‘Choi Hyun Jung Story’ who was connected with her mother’s heart and found happiness.

“When Choi Hyun Jung’s heart flowed with her mother, she was able to feel warm and happy. Supercomputers store a lot of data. A typical personal computer has a small capacity, but if you connect with the supercomputer, you can get all the data. Nowadays, it is possible to transmit data wirelessly, not through lines. Likewise, when God and our hearts are connected, happiness, joy, and delight in God are communicated to us.” (Pastor Ock Soo Park)

It was a camp that could have been cluttered by the election of the President of Kenya on August 8, but God has blessed us even more instead.

As a peace camp, the participants listening to the Words opened their hearts to people around them as well as God during ‘2017 Kenya Peace Camp.’ We hope for the Kenyan youths to connect their hearts with God and be overflowing with happiness, joy, and delight in God.
