[New York] Stepping Out of the Nest – Regional Witnessing Trip (May 12, 2011)

“I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles” (Isaiah 42:6)

The work of God that was first initiated in Brooklyn is now spreading across the northern and southern regions in U.S.!

May 3rd, 6 a.m. In the quiet of Huntington, Mahanaim is very busy. Why, because it’s now time for 60 Good News Corps volunteers who’ve just completed a two-month-training in New York to launch a witness-journey. On May 3rd, they divide into three groups for a two-month witness journey. Their faces are full of thrill and disappointment for parting. However, one thing is clear: the Good News Corps volunteers have faith that God will lead their journey as He had led the Israelites out of Egypt. Group A (northern region) will stop by the America’s greatest sin city Detroit, and travel through Chicago, Minneapolis for bible seminar and move onto Boston. Group B (southern region) will have a bible seminar and publicize World Camp in Washington, Orlando, and Miami. Group C (New York) will stay back in New York to publicize and prepare for prospective World Camp in late August.

In preparing for this witness journey, we were able to feel the great love of God towards Good News Corps volunteers in the United States. As He had given 1-year visa to all 60 members, He provided a good accommodation in Detroit. Especially, we plan to have a bible seminar in Fort Wayne, which is the greatest Myanmar Community in Minneapolis. Thus we give great thanks to God and hope for many people of Myanmar to hear the gospel and receive salvation. This two-month-long witness journey will provide an opportunity for Good News Corps volunteers in U.S. to grow in faith and experience God. Please pray for them. Thank you.
